My Reflection from this project
This website took about a week to finish. During the process a lot was learned. The plot revolved around Beowulf. Every conflict in the story included Beowulf. If anyone needed help, they called him. The main antagonists were Grendel, Grendel’s Mother, and the Dragon. One thing I noticed was that they never introduce any prologues for the characters except for Beowulf. Based on my interpretation of the poem, the purpose of the antagonists were just to make Beowulf more heroic or more like a savior. After Beowulf killed Grendel and Grendel’s Mother, he lead the Geats for 50 years. One day he went to fight the dragon. Beowulf and Wiglaf defeated the Dragon. Normally, he’d win every battle but this time he was mortally wounded and succumbed to his wounds. The poet wanted Beowulf to die a hero.
